please can we still bring back parenting ?

I read through a post 2 days ago saying please can we still bring back parenting.

its high time we know that parents don’t train kids within a parenting structure anymore and kids now behave out of lines most times because there’s no structure guiding their behaviours.

i was going through my neighbourhood when I heard a kid telling his friend that his …dad can’t beat him because his mom won’t allow it. The confidence in his voice shocked me.It made me wonder—have we gone too soft in parenting? Back in the day, discipline was strict. A misstep meant a scolding, a punishment, or even the rod. But today, many parents hesitate, fearing they’ll be seen as too harsh. Are we raising kids who respect boundaries, or are we creating a generation that feels untouchable?

Discipline isn’t just about punishment—it’s about guidance. If we don’t set firm limits, how will our children learn responsibility, respect, and self-control?

What do you think?

Should discipline make a comeback in parenting?
